Today's reading is Acts 6:8-8:1a. False charges were brought against Stephen by witnesses with conflicting stories. When Stephen preached the truth to them, they became a howling mob and stoned him to death. His death was witnessed by Jesus, standing by the throne of God and by Saul standing with the accusers.
