Today's reading is in II Kings 15-17; II Chronicles 5:23; and II Chronciles 27 and 28. In Israel Pekah is assassinated by Hoshea, son of Elah, who then became king. In Judah Jotham, a righteous king does and is replaced by his son Ahaz who makes cast idols and worships the Baals.
