Today’s reading is Ezra 1-4 and II Chronicles 36:22,
23. As the Persians take over the
Babylonians and want the Israelites to return to their homeland, many must have
had mixed feelings. They have been in Babylon
for 70 years. As much as they did not
believe they were ever go to Babylon, they now have to decide whether to return
to a land some have never seen.
