Today's reading is Nehemiah 12 and 13. The mourning over sins is soon forgotten and the people return to their sinful ways. Nehemiah orders purification of the Temple and of the personal lives of the people. This purification takes place before the dedication of the completed wall.
Constant need for purification through confession of sins is a constant need for all of us sinners!
